Fun and Flamenco- July 10, 2014

Another busy day today! We began the day with classes where we reviewed the different subjunctive tenses and learned about traditional Spanish dishes. I think that I speak for everyone when I say that the desserts looked particularly amazing!
                                      We love Spanish dessert!

After a long siesta and an ice cream, or two, we visited the Casa Lis art museum. Casa Lis celebrates the style of Art Noveaux, particularly the designs of Gaudí. Afterwards, we toured a gorgeous garden with exotic fruits and flowers and took a lot of photos.

                                            Juniors en un Jardin

To close out the day we went to a flamenco show in El Colegio de Fonseca. It was phenomenal and not what I was expecting at all. Instead of a single dancer accompanied by a singer with a guitar, this performance used a troupe of different dancers to tell a story. Combined with the music of the guitarra and the voices of the cantantes, the dancers gave us an exciting and beautiful show.
                                         Bailaores y Bailaoras

I cannot wait to learn more about Spain through our cultural trips and classes! This is truly a one of a kind experience!
